June 15 – Saturday FARGO-BISMARCK-MSP
Today we will depart from our respective home airports, gathering in Minneapolis for our Trans-Atlantic flight to the vivid contrasts of “Beautiful Norway”.
July 16 - Sunday STAVANGER
Upon arrival at Sola Airport near Stavanger, Norway, we will clear Norwegian Immigration and Customs, meet your guide and bus driver and transfer to our beautiful hotel located downtown on the fjord. Our “Welcome Dinner” is at our hotel. (H-D)
June 17 – Monday STAVANGER
Our day begins with a sightseeing tour of Stavanger area, a boat tour to Pulpit Rock, the Norwegian Oil Museum and visit Uland Old Viking Farm. Dinner is at our hotel. (H-B-D)
June 18 - Tuesday STAVANGER – HAUGESUND – ULLENSVANG
After a early breakfast we will have a ferry ride and travel through two huge tunnels under the sea. At Haugesund we will see the statue of Marilyn Monroe and Viking Burial Mounds. Fjords and waterfalls will adorn the county side as we travel through part of the “Real” Norway, making a special stop at Latefoss (a hugh waterfall) and a copper smeltary at Odda. Here we will meet the Beautiful Hardanger Fjord as we enter the Norway’s premier fruit district. They boast of millions of cherry, apple, plum, pear and walnut trees. Fruit farming at its best along the fjord and mountains covered by the glaciers. Upon arrival at our five star hotel in Ullensvang we will have time to relax and enjoy the delightful hotel. Our dinner tonight at Ullensvang Hotel is both unique and exciting. (B-D-H)
June 19 - Wednesday ULLENSVANG – KINSARVIK – EIDSFJORD – ULLENSVANG
A leisurely traditional Norwegian breakfast awaits us this morning. We will visit and tour Norway’s largest pewter factory at Kinsarvik. From here we will travel to Eidsfjord’s Nature Center for a special luncheon with all the traditions of the real Norway. Here we will also see a beautiful movie of this area and, upon our return to Ullensvang Hotel our dinner awaits us. (H-L-B-D)

June 20 – Thursday ULLENSVANG – VOSS – STALHEIM
Again, our truly Norwegian breakfast awaits us. Our journey today will take us across the World’s Longest and Highest Bridge. A truly exciting experience through the tunnels into the Voss area. Here we will see the church from 1277, the Voss Folk Museum, and a special stop at Tvindefossen. Our dinner and overnight are at the beautiful Stalheim Hotel. (H-B-D)
June 21 - Friday STALHEIM - FLÅM – STALHEIM
Breakfast is at our hotel which is famous from 1893 and WW II. We will travel through the unique mountainside where we can see two huge waterfalls, Per Sivle and Stalheim on the winding road that takes us into the Nerøy Valley. A short stop in Underdal is planned. We will all board the Flåm Rail Road to Myrdal and return. This is an experience not available any other place in the world. Upon our return we will travel to Aurland for a visit to the Stone Church, and visit the world’s longest man made mountain tunnel (14.6 Miles) and return to Stalheim Hotel for dinner and overnight. A special program will follow our dinner tonight. (H-B-D)
June 22-Saturday STALHEIM – BERGEN
Following a fantastic Norwegian Breakfast we will travel to Voss and to Norway’s Second Largest city of Bergen for a sightseeing tour including Mt. Fløyen, the Fish Market and the summer home of the late Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. Our “best dinner ever” is at Hella Skulle, featuring fresh salmon with Juven Sauce. This evening we will stay at the brand new Edvard Grieg Suites Hotel in Bergen. (H-B-D)
June 23- Sunday BERGEN-EVENES-SVOLVÆR
After breakfast in Bergen, we will board a Norwegian aircraft that will take us to Evenes, the Lofoten Islands and the North Cape. We will transfer by luxury motorcoach to Svolvær and the beautiful Svolvær Hotel. We can look forward to an unparalleled seafood dinner. (H-B-D)
June 24-Monday SVOLVÆR – LOFOTEN ISLANDS - HARSTAD
After breakfast at the hotel, we will tour the Lofoten Islands, the Lofoten Wall, and the many Robu (fisheries) wherever we look. We continue to Harstad for our overnight and the celebration of the longest day of the year, “Johnsak”. If we are fortunate, we will see the many bonfires and celebrations in the area. They are truly celebrating all of the daylight! (H-B-D)
June 25-Tuesday HARSTAD - TROMSØ
With our Norwegian breakfast settling, we begin our next adventure to North Norway’s largest city of Tromsø, with a population of 55,000 and the Northern Lights University. Upon arrival at Tromsø’s Scandic Hotel, we will be greeted by our local guide, Stina Fagerlund. Tonight our dinner will be at a unique Sami village. The midnight sun will be easily viewed everywhere! June 26-Wednesday TROMSØ
Today we have a delicious breakfast at our Scandic Hotel to prepare for a free day to explore the many interesting sights in Tromsø. You can see the arctic cathedral, the Northern Lights Observatory and the Polar Museum, and dinner is on your own. (H-B)
June 27-Thursday TROMSØ – HAMMERFEST-ALTA
After a Northern Norway breakfast, we will depart from Tromsø by boat to the North Cape, the northernmost part of the European Continent with an extraordinary stop in Hammerfest, the most northern city in the WHOLE WORLD! We will continue on to Alta, the beautiful Thon Hotel, and an exquisite fresh salmon dinner prepared on the banks of the Alta River. (H-B-D)
June 28-Friday ALTA – SKAIDI - ALTA
After our delicious Northern Norway breakfast, we will be escorted by our local guide to the largest Sami village in the world Karasjok with a stop in Skaidi. On our return we will view the beautifully painted rocks uniquely situated in the mountain area of Alta. A unique Northern Norway dinner will be provided at the hotel. (H-B-D)
June 29-Saturday ALTA - OSLO
After breakfast at the Thon Hotel, we will take a sightseeing tour to Alta Canyon/Gorge, followed by a unique Sami restaurant dinner, followed by a flight from Alta to Oslo. We will transfer to the Oslo Thon Hotel.
June 30-Sunday OSLO - USA
After an early breakfast, we say goodbye to beautiful Norway and transfer to Gardemoen Airport. We will wing our way across the Atlantic on our comfortable jumbo jet. We will arrive in Minneapolis to clear customs and on to your home airport. Welcome Home! (B)
Reservation and Final Payment: A deposit of $400 per person is required to confirm a reservation for this tour. Final payment must be received by Juven Tours & Travel no later than 60 days before departure. All payments shall be made payable to Juven Tours & Travel, Inc.
Transportation: The tour price includes roundtrip economy class airfare on Delta / KLM from Fargo, or MSP. Group airline regulations and payment schedules apply. Airline boarding from your home city is also possible.
Hotels: First class, deluxe and/or superior class hotels are as shown in the itinerary based on two persons sharing a twin room.
Meals: All meals are provided as shown on itinerary.
Luggage: Porterage included for one suitcase (max 50 lbs) per person plus one carry-on-bag (not to exceed 45 inches). Baggage lost or damaged while in the custody of the airlines, bus company or hotel cannot be the responsibility of Juven Tours & Travel. Insurance is recommended.
Land Transportation: Luxury motor coach service is provided for this tour including all transfers.
Gratuities: Tips, service charges and taxes are included at all hotels and restaurants. However, gratuities for the tour escort, guide and driver are customarily left to the discretion of the tour members.
Travel Documents: Each passenger must be in possession of a valid passport.
Cancellation: The following cancellation penalties will apply: before 60 days to departure none; 30 to 60 days prior to departure $400; less than 30 days $1,000. Juven Tours & Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour up to 30 days. In the event the tour is cancelled, Juven Tours and Travel has no responsibility beyond full refund of monies paid by the participant. Cancellation must be in writing and the postmark shall establish the cancellation date. Trip cancellation insurance is recommended.
